Camps of Horsemanship and Riding
Camp Cheval is a camp specializing in hunt seat riding, horsemanship and fun outdoor activities. Our goal is to provide a safe, beautiful and wholesome environment where the beginner rider can develop a solid foundation in riding and the more advanced rider is challenged to improve their riding skills. All riders develop an understanding of horses and horsemanship. Classes are divided into small groups according to rider levels. The school horses are excellent teachers and students are mounted on horses appropriate to their riding skills. Our beginner horses are very patient and appropriate for teaching new students. The intermediate and advanced horses are capable of jumping courses and doing advance flat work. All Day/Track Out Camp This camp is designed to accommodate the “year round” student who is tracked out as well as offering the traditional students ages 6-16 that need an all day schedule for camp. We hope to be able to reach all of our potential campers with this new camp schedule. Campers will be divided into age and level appropriate classes for riding. Most all other activities will be done together. Half Day Camp Half day camp is designed to offer the beginner or returning students ages 6-9 with a wonderful experience horseback riding. Full Day Camp Full day camp is designed for the beginner through advanced students ages 8-16 who want a little more intensive instruction. The riding lessons are divided into level appropriate classes for each student with the other activities geared to accommodate all campers. MacNair’s Country Acres is one of the Triangle’s oldest privately-owned riding academies and has been teaching Raleigh area students to ride for over 40 years.
