College Programs

MacNair’s Country Acres, Inc. has been the host for the Equestrian Physical Education classes through NCSU and Peace College for over 20 years. Riders also participate in our physical education classes from Meredith and St. Mary’s College. Many students/riders remain after graduating as active riders enjoying horseback riding as a lifetime sport.

MacNair’s also teaches members of the NCSU Equestrian Club. The NCSU club was formed in 1992 and has continued to provide riding and show opportunities for college age riders. Team riders compete at intercollegiate competitions. This is a challenging and rewarding event for the rider and shows a true level of a rider’s skill.  Club members are part of the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) or the Interscholastic-Intercollegiate Dressage Association (IDA) riders.  For more info visit the club web site.  www.ncsu.edu/stud_orgs/equestrian/
