Horse Shows

MacNair's Country Acres, Inc. offers a very active horse show schedule throughout the year for lesson students and boarders. The show schedule allows for beginners as well as our advanced riders to compete. Lesson students must have achieved a certain level of proficiency to compete.

Boarders are offered the option to compete at local and regional competitions. Country Acres offers schooling for shows and trailer services for boarders. We encourage boarders to set yearly goals for competing and showing. “Equitrial” competitions are organized following the guidelines from ANRC.  Please see our show calendar of events for competitions.

Hunter Shows

Many MacNair riders compete in local USEF and NCHJA 'A' and 'C' shows.  We also compete in as well as host Eastern Hunter Association (EHA) horse shows.   In addition to these shows, we host two hunter schooling shows on the farm and a show for our Community and Pony School riders.

Equitrials

The purpose of the Equitrial is to promote effective riding and schooling in a format where the rider may receive awards as well as an individual evaluation for their performance.  Riders receive their ANRC rider rating through participation in an Equitrial.  There are three phases in the Equitrial competition, a Program Ride, Hunter Trial Equitation, and Stadium Equitation.  To obtain a copy of the ANRC Riding Standards visit their web site at www.anrc.org.
