Saint Mary’s School Equestrian Program

MacNair’s Country Acres (MCA) is proud to partner with Saint Mary’s School in Raleigh, NC to provide equestrian activities for SMS Students. MCA is located 6 miles from the campus, about a 15 minute drive.

Through this partnership, Saint Mary’s School students are eligible to participate in horseback riding lessons at MacNair’s 200+ acre farm.

MCA offers English horseback riding lessons in the Hunter and Jumper disciplines.

Saint Mary’s students who participate in horseback riding lessons at MCA are eligible to participate in the farm’s annual Schooling Show series.

Students who have a horse may inquire about boarding their horse at MacNair’s.

Those who do not have a horse, but who are interested in attending rated shows, may inquire about MacNair’s horse lease program.

Riders who board a horse at MCA or who lease a horse from the farm may also join MacNair’s Show Team, which travels to “A” and “C” rated Hunter Jumper shows throughout North Carolina and the surrounding states.

Eventing and Dressage Trainers are available to students who board a horse at MacNair’s.

Other opportunities for Saint Mary’s students include joining MCA’s IEA team or 4H Club.

Saint Mary’s students who ride at MCA are eligible to count Equestrian activities for Triangle Fitness credit.  Capstone project opportunities are also available at MacNair’s.

Saint Mary’s students interested in joining the Equestrian Program partnership should complete the form on this page.
